Work the Sale and Shop Early!!!

Work-Shift Policy & Schedule

We offer over 75 work-shifts! All Shifts are "paid" ($10 merchandise credit/shift) with the exception of Thursday shifts.

Both “paid” and non-paid workers are entitled to shop the “Preview” Sale before Consignors:

6:00-10:00PM Preview Workers

   Shop 5:00-6:00 pm

“Above and Beyond”*
   Shop 5:00-9:00 pm

All Other Workers

   Shop 6:00-9:00 pm

Consignors

   Shop 7:00-9:00 pm

*Prime time shopping is reserved for the few who go above and beyond to help promote our events. If you work a single shift and distribute a minimum of “200” flyers, OR work two or more shifts, you will be granted “Above & Beyond” shopping status. If you happen to have a creative marketing idea share it with us as you may qualify!

To secure a work-shift we require that you send a check made out to “Consigning Closets” in the amount of $10 per work-shift (i.e. 1 shift=$10, 2 shifts=$20, etc.). Provided that the shift is worked, the check will not be cashed. If the Worker completes their scheduled shift, the check will be returned via mail with Consignor payment. For those who are working, but not consigning, your check will be mailed at the same time Consignor checks are mailed (within 3 weeks of Sale date). We had to implement this policy in order to prevent people from taking advantage of the system by receiving their incentive and then failing to work their scheduled shift. This policy allows us to attract only those who are responsible and dependable so that the Sale can run smoothly.

Please thoughtfully consider the commitment before you request a work-shift. If you are uncertain of your availability, do not request a shift as we must have dependable workers so that the Sale can run smoothly!

NOTE: Working a minimum of TWO shifts qualifies for "Above & Beyond" Shopping Status!

Wednesday:

8:00 pm-11:00 pm

Thursday:

(All Thursday shifts are non-paid with one exception)

9:00 am-1:00 pm

12:00 pm-4:00 pm

6:00 pm-10:00 pm ($10 merchandise credit)

Floor Organizers and Screeners

Thursday 9am-4pm

Floor Organizers are entitled to shop 5-9pm (Above & Beyond)

Lunch, Drinks and Snacks will be provided.

Friday:

8:00 am-12:00 pm

9:00 am-1:00 pm

10:00 am-2:00 pm

2:00 pm-6:00 pm

Saturday:

8:00 am-12:00 pm

11:00 am-3:00 pm

2:00 pm-6:00 pm

6:00 pm-10:00 pm ($25 cash!)

To secure a work-shift you will need to do the following:

1.) Call or email to request a shift(s). Since work-shifts are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, please provide a first and second choice.

2.) We handle work-shift requests promptly and ask that you mail in your work-shift security check within 3 days of receiving word that your requested shift(s) is/are available. This policy helps us to fill the shifts in a timely, efficient manner and also gives prospective workers more to choose from because shifts are not being tentatively held for an unreasonable amount of time. Amount of check will depend on the number of shifts worked ($10/shift). For example: 1 shift=$10, 2 shifts=$20, etc. Make check payable to “Consigning Closets”.
