Consigning Closets is known for it’s wide selection of quality items. 

Thank you for choosing to consign with us...quality counts and sells!

In order to participate you must consign a minimum of 15 quality items.

Consignors earn 70% of selling price.

Drop-n-Dash Consignors (Wednesday night, 9:00 PM) earn 65% of selling price

(50% if drop-n-dash on Thursday or any kind of drop-off after 4pm Thursday).

Payment will be mailed within 3 weeks of Sale date.

Effective Fall/Winter 2011  1) Shoes must be placed in Zip-Lock bags or zip-tied together (zip-tied preferred).  2) Bath tubs/seats and diaper disposal systems will be accepted if they are in excellent condition. 3) Short sleeve polo style/nicer shirts will be accepted Fall/Winter, but save the t-shirts for Spring/Summer.  4)  Newest Addition ~ Dorm Décor:  rugs, lamps, clocks, book shelves, closet organizers, x-long bedding, small refrigerators, microwaves, crockpots, toasters, anything “dorm” related will be accepted!!!

Effective Spring/Summer 2010 - Screening/Placement of Items Policy:  Consignors will no longer place their clothing items on the Sale’s floor; however, they WILL place non-clothing related items.  It is imperative that clothing be sorted by gender and size (i.e. boy 3 months, 6 months, etc.) prior to arriving at drop-off.  If your items are not in order, you will be asked to step aside and place them in order before going through the screening process.  NOTE: Only Consigning Closets team members will be permitted in the clothing section.  These team members will be wearing aprons and this new policy will be strictly enforced.

Click Here for Drop-n-Dash Info NOTE: Anyone needing to Drop-n-Dash on Thursday - including late arrivals (those arriving after 4pm on Thursday) will receive a 50/50 split.  If you are unable to drop your items off on Thursday, 10am-4pm your next best option is to plan to "Drop-n-Dash" on Wednesday, 9pm (no appointment needed).    

"Large Item Bulletin Board”:  You may list anything (not limited to child related items!)  If you have items that are too large to bring to the Sale be sure to post them on our bulletin board  Do not include name or contact information; rather, design the ad as you would any other item being placed in the Sale.  Be sure to Include: Consignor number, price, description, photo (optional, but preferred).

Don't Forget to Bring 2 Envelopes: Consignors must provide 2 self-addressed, business-sized stamped envelopes when items are dropped off (one for payment and one for next sale notification) or $1 will be deducted from earnings. Important: Envelopes must be business-size and you must PRINT legibly with no abbreviations. Also, DO NOT put your Consignor Number anywhere on the envelope. Thank you for paying close attention to detail as this will help to prevent any lost or misdirected mail.  Payment will be mailed within 3 weeks of the Sale date.

 

The Following Quality Items Will Be Accepted:

~Seasonal Top Quality Clothing~

We accept Spring & Summer for the Spring Sale and Fall & Winter for the Fall Sale.  Blue Jeans, Khaki and White long pants as well as light weight slacks and Capri/Crop pants will be accepted at both Sales.  We will also accept short sleeve shirts at both Sales (save the sleeveless for summer).  Exception:  All seasons will be accepted for Brand New Clothing (with original tags.)  Absolutely no dated clothing or clothing with stains, tears, missing buttons or broken zippers.  Sizes:  Newborn through Teen - If a high-school student will wear it you may consign it (please do not consign clothing that a high school student would not even think of wearing!)

Seasonal Only:  Spring and Summer for the Spring Sale and Fall and Winter for the Fall SaleException:  Brand New Maternity (all seasons accepted)

~Shoes~

Shoes must be in excellent/like new condition. Please no worn shoes as they will not sell!

~Baby Equipment~

Strollers, High Chairs, Gates, Pack ‘n Plays, Etc.

~Nursery Furniture~

Cribs, Cradles/Bassinettes, Changing Tables, Dressers/Chest of Drawers, Etc.

IMPORTANT: We will NOT accept any cribs with a Drop-Side. These are no longer

legal to sell.

~Bedding Ensembles~

Quilts, Blankets, Mobiles, Lamps, Wall Hangings/Pictures, Etc.

~Large Indoor Toys & Equipment~

Exersaucers, Bouncy Seats, Jumpers, Rocking Horses, Kitchenettes, Etc.

~Large Outdoor Toys & Equipment~

Play Gyms & Houses, Slides, Scooter Cars & Trucks, Etc.

~Toys, Books, Games & Videos~

~Rocking/Gliding Chairs~

~Exercise Equipment~

~Educational~

Hooked On Phonics, etc.

The Following Items Do Not Sell Well and, Therefore, Will Not Be Accepted:

Heavily Worn Shoes, Poor Quality T-Shirts, Dated Bedding, Stuffed Animals, Nursing Bras and Underwear/Panties.

Pricing: Depending on brand name and condition you can expect item to sell for 25-35% of retail. Please Note: Items priced $10 or higher must be listed on an 8 ½  x 11 sheet of paper along with your name, phone number, and consignor number. Please bring this with you to drop-off.

~Use half of a small index card for each tag and secure tag to garment with safety pins or with a professional garment gun (attach tag to clothing label only; otherwise, it puts holes in the clothes!)  Please no stickers, straight pins or masking tape…they will be removed from the Sales Floor!

~ALL CLOTHING MUST BE HUNG ON HANGERS with hanger making a "?" when looking at it:   If pinning pants to hanger fold over and pin so that pins do not slide on hanger. This way the garment is secure and more presentable. Click here for examples.  Exception:  Sleepers/Onesies should be packaged in Zip-Lock type bags with tags taped to the inside of the bag.

~Label clothing numerically (6 months, 12 months, etc.). DO NOT label as Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large if the tag provides a numeric size!  Maternity and Junior clothing may be labeled Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large if a numeric size is not given; however, infant and toddler clothing must be converted to a numeric size and should be labeled accordingly:   0-3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and larger provided that a high school student can and will : ) wear it…please do not consign clothing that your high school student would not even think of wearing!

 

 If clothing size is expressed in pounds convert to the following:

~Each tag must include:

  • Consignor Number (Top-Center) 

  • Price (Mid-Center) 50-cent increments.

  • Gender & Item Description (Bottom-Left) If brand-name or new, state this on the tag. 

  • Size (Bottom-Right) 

  • The letter "D" (Top-Left) if you wish to donate unsold items.

  • Highlight the price if you DO NOT want the item to sell for half price on Saturday.

  • When looking at garment, secure tag to garment’s Front, Upper, Right-hand corner. If garment gun is used, secure tag to inside clothing label only; otherwise, it puts holes in the clothing.

  • Sort clothing by gender & size BEFORE dropping off items.

~Shoes:  Zip-Lock bags or Zip-Ties!

~Adhesive stickers (No Post-It Notes) may be used. Otherwise, secure tags with packaging or masking tape. Also, be sure to tape all boxed items so that they remain intact.

~All Non-Clothing related items must be clean, complete and in good condition.

~Test battery operated items to be certain that they work...state that they do along with the size/number of batteries required.

~Each tag must include:

  • Consignor Number (Top-Center)

  • Price (Mid-Center) 50-cent increments.

  • Item Description (Bottom)

  • The letter "D" (Top-Left) if you wish to donate unsold items.

  • Highlight the price if you DO NOT want the item to sell for Half-Price on Saturday.
